In a nutshell, I’m a mum, who is (still) trying to reinvent/find myself after having my 2 babies.
I’ve always loved writing and way back in the early 00’s had many precious lockable diaries. When I launched by breharne in 2016 the plan was, that I would use it to keep friends and family up to date with our life and adventures. But I was quickly swept up into the crazy (and somewhat mysterious) world of blogging. And was constantly hungry to learn more about building websites, connecting with other bloggers and building strategies on how to monetise my little corner of the internet.
Fast forward to today:
- I STILL love writing (but don’t get to do it as much as I would like – #mumlife).
- I’m STILL growing my website design skills and have also widened my digital skill scope to include becoming an expert in social media and SEO (both of these just fascinate me).
- I have met a HEAP of amazing bloggers and am so lucky to call some of them my friends IRL!
- by breharne is PROFITABLE (calm down, blogging hasn’t put a Range Rover in my driveway but it’s proved to make me a nice side income).
The main inspirations for my posts come from my two, young daughters and being a busy mum as well as my life as an Australian revert Muslim.
I would like to think that my writing creates an opportunity to bridge the social gap between non-Muslims and Muslims. I believe that by sharing my life and stories on a public platform I will provide an opportunity for connection and conversation that hopefully leads to understanding and acceptance.
Wow, that paragraph was super deep lol.
I hope I haven’t scared you off! My writing style is open, light, informative and even funny (if I do say so myself). Let me prove it to you, check out one of my most popular posts, Secret’s of My Hijab.
