I DID MY FIRST PEEL-OFF BLACK MASK & I SURVIVED!
We’ve all seen those facebook and YouTube videos of people screaming out in pain when peeling off their masks. And I have to admit I was super nervous as I was smearing it across my face!
Peel off black masks have been said to deeply cleanse the skin whilst removing dull surface cells and impurities. I wanted this mask to remove black heads across my nose and chin areas and brighten my dull complexion.
I purchased my peel off Black Mask for $15 AUD from a beauty stall in my local shopping centre… Then, I later found the exact same product on eBay and Alibaba for between $3 and $5 (with free shipping).
Application of the mask was pretty straight forward. Cleanse and dry the skin then apply the mask to your desired area (avoiding eyebrows, eyes and lips). Leave the mask on for approximately 20-30 minutes or until the mask is completely dry.
Simply, peel it off!
For best results wipe toner across the area using a cotton pad to help close the pores then apply moisturiser. Closing the pores after a treatment is important so as to prevent dirt and impurities entering the skin which can lead to later breakouts.
I don’t think that I applied a thick enough layer of the mask to my skin as it was really difficult to peel off. I struggled to grip an edge to begin peeling and once I did it would break apart. Next time I will apply a thicker layer of the mask and see if that helps in the effectiveness of the treatment and the removal process.
The mask definitely removed the majority of my black heads and my face felt fresh and smooth after the treatment. I was surprised that it didn’t burn or aggravate my skin at all, which is a positive for such a cheap product.
I would definitely use the mask again and recommend the Shills Deep Cleansing peel-off Black Mask as a low budget skin treatment option.
