Those of you who know me are aware of my stationery ADDICTION!
I am one of those people that will NEVER give up using an old-school paper planner. And it isn’t unusual for me to purchase (and actually use) a number of (this year I tried and tested 5!) different paper planners. This year, I thought that I would share my top picks so that you can get your pre-orders in and be ready for 2019 (you’re welcome)!
FUN FACT: The creators of these planners are both Aussie WOMEN! So, you KNOW that these gals have your back and know what you want/need in a planner!
*DRUM ROLL* Finally, without any further adieu I would like to introduce my FAVOURITE planners of 2018! Please note that they are not listed a particular order. I LOVED them both equally and couldn’t choose a winner even if you offered me ALL the chocolate in the world!
Deen Daily Planner by Emaan Boost
Emaan Boost has been producing planners specifically with Muslims in mind, for over 15 years! Each year she creates a beautifully designed 170mm x 230mm (slightly larger than a5)
What I Loved…
My favourite features of the Deen Daily Planner are the goals section and the vertical layout with hourly breakdown. Firstly I was able to categorise under personal, spiritual and work a goal that I wanted to achieve for that week. And the hourly breakdown meant I could block out chunks of time for particular commitments, this made it so quick and easy to glance at my week and see how much sleep I wasn’t going to get LOL.
2019 Deen Daily Planners open for pre-sale on the 30th of October, and Emaan Boost will be releasing a small number of A4 sized journals for the first time*
Soul Seasons Planner by Carlie Maree
Wow, the Souls Seasons planner is a real game changer, unlike traditional planners, it’s seasonal – meaning that a new planner is released 4 times a year to coincide with the seasons. It does not only allow you to plan in all your paper planner glory but it also helps you track and manage your goals whilst encouraging you to pay attention and connect with yourself. Carlie Maree introduced the Soul Modes concept into her planners, which is essentially 4 phases your soul cycles through; the wild woman, hibernating bear, superhero and sparkly fairy, check out her Facebook to listen to her talk about and explain these modes in more detail.
What I Loved…
I absolutely love the soul modes concept! My moods, literally, run my life and by allowing me to acknowledge and even embrace my soul mode has helped me justify certain emotions and be kinder to myself in wild woman moments. Another fave for me was the layout. It’s one day to an opening, the first page is split with a to-do list and an hourly breakdown of your day, the opposite is a full page for journaling. Journaling is a 5 min activity that I aim to do daily for reflection and gratitude – I highly recommend it, it’s very therapeutic (but that’s for another blog post).
Pre-Sale for the Summer 2018/19 Soul Seasons Planner is open NOW. Head to Carlie Maree’s website and order yours before the special pre-sale price is over.
Have you tried these planners before or will you
